PRP At The Therapy Room
At The Therapy Room, we are proud to introduce a range of PRP treatments as a natural and effective way to rejuvenate skin and hair. These treatments use your own blood to encourage healing from within; helping to smooth fine lines, reduce signs of ageing, stimulate hair growth, and giving you an overall refresh.
Because it works with your body’s natural processes, PRP is a great option for those wanting noticeable results without synthetic ingredients or harsh treatments. Whether you're looking to improve skin tone or reduce scarring/stretch marks; PRP offers a gentle, natural way to feel more confident in your skin.

What is a PRP?

PRP for Hair Loss
As well as being a great option for skin rejuvenation, PRP can also support hair growth and improve overall scalp health. By naturally increasing blood flow to the hair follicles, it creates a healthier environment for hair to grow. The platelets in PRP gently encourage the follicles to stay active, which may help with regrowth, especially in areas where hair has started to thin. It can also help to extend
the hair’s natural growth phase (called the anagen phase) and improve the thickness and strength of each strand.
PRP can be particularly helpful for:
· Early-stage thinning
· Supporting recovery and regrowth after a hair transplant
· Stimulating hair follicles prior to a transplant
· Hair loss linked to stress, hormonal changes, or ageing
Everyone’s results are different, but many clients start to notice changes in the look and feel of their hair within a few weeks. The best results usually come after a course of treatments, which we’ll talk through with you during your consultation.

What to Expect at Your Appointment
When you arrive at The Therapy Room, you’ll be welcomed into a calm and professional setting by our friendly team. We’ll begin with a detailed consultation to understand your skin or hair concerns and assess whether PRP is the right option for you.
The treatment process includes:
1. Blood Draw: A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm.
2. Separation Process: The blood is carefully spun to separate the platelet-rich plasma.
3. Injection: The PRP is carefully injected into the targeted area, whether that’s your face, scalp, or another part of the body.
After your treatment, we’ll provide aftercare advice and discuss a treatment plan if ongoing sessions are needed.

Does it hurt?
PRP involves a series of tiny injections, so you might feel a little discomfort in certain areas, but most people find the treatment very manageable. You’re welcome to bring your own numbing cream to apply beforehand if you’d prefer, and we’re happy to recommend one too. The whole process is quick and our team are very gentle.
Is there any recovery time?
You might notice some redness, mild swelling, or tenderness in the area for a day or two afterwards, this is completely normal and usually settles quickly. Many people go straight back to their usual routine the next day or day after.
How long does the appointment take?
The full appointment, including your consultation, blood draw, and treatment, usually takes around 45-60 minutes.
Who isn’t suitable for PRP treatment?
PRP isn’t suitable for everyone and we wouldn’t recommend if you:
· Are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
· Have certain blood or bleeding conditions
· Have active skin infections or severe skin concerns
· Have a history of cancer or autoimmune disorders
Will PRP work if I’ve had hair loss for years?
PRP tends to work best in the early stages of hair thinning, when hair follicles are still active. If your hair has been thinning for a long time, results are less likely. That said, it can still improve scalp health and help slow further hair loss.
How many sessions will I need?
For the best results, we usually recommend a course of 3-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart. After that, a top-up every once or twice a year to boost and help maintain your results. We’ll talk through what’s best for you during your consultation.
